READING SUCCESS IS OUR SPECIALTY How a Reading Instruction Specialist Can Help This past year was a year of change with our decision to focus exclusively on reading instruction. In the four years since becoming a licensed Reading Instruction Specialist, we had also offered some tutoring and more recently elementary mathematics through Math Squared. While the tutoring and Math Squared classes were beneficial for some students, the Academic Associates® Reading Course seems to be the best fit for us at the present time. We are pleased to offer this instruction because it can have such a great impact on the students who take it. Quite often we receive questions of a very general nature, such as how much do you charge for your tutoring, or my child has problems with reading comprehension. It is impossible to provide a meaningful answer because every child is a unique individual, and much more information is needed in order for us to be helpful to you. Sadly, many parents postpone seeking help for too long. They may think that the child will catch up, but instead they gradually slip farther behind the class.
